PENYPAA
Peninsula Young People of Alcoholics Anonymous
Founded in 1999

The AA Preamble:

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

There are no dues or fees for AA membership; We are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

History of PENYPAA

Peninsula Young People of AA was founded in 1999 by a group of young alcoholics to carry the message to the young alcoholic still suffering. Through the last 26 years, we've welcomed hundreds seeking recovery.

Our Role in AA

Every day, 14 people in California lose their battle with addiction. Addiction is a disease, and it deserves to be treated with the care and compassion that any illness demands. Peninsula Young People of Alcoholics Anonymous believes that every addict and alcoholic is deserving of the chance to recover. We know that none of us can do this alone, which is why we come together. Through our monthly events, we show alcoholics and addicts of all ages that recovery isn’t just possible—it’s joyful. Life doesn’t end when you get sober; it truly begins.
